Decided to put my money where my mouth is.
But seriously, I need to stop eating money. These entry fees are KILLING me. I’m glad I’ll be working plenty of OT this summer.
70.3 number two is officially registered for, and the ten week training plan will start right after Sunday’s half-marathon. I might actually finish the race and go right for a swim, the finish line is steps from the beach.
And since I have all of this free time on my hands, I’m going to attempt to drop 20 pounds over the next 10 weeks. My performance has never been better, but carrying around less weight going into the 70.3, and subsequent school semester, marathon training, and Ironman training months, will only help. For those who are curious, I weigh 208 and can run a 21ish minute 5k and 1:44 half marathon; looks are deceiving when it comes to me (all the muscle is in my quads and ass, haha). I’ve been as low as 184, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get that low again since I put on a bit of muscle since then. We’ll see how it goes.
